Reconnecting to Family

For many Indigenous people, reconnecting to family can be difficult. Loss or destruction of records due to the residential school system, the Sixties Scoop, and adoptions has left individuals unable to trace their family in order to reconnect. Your gift will provide support for families to connect with individuals who are skilled are community connecting/finding. Your gift will provide one referral to a community connector to help Indigenous families reconnect to their communities, an important step in healing from the harms inflicted upon First Nations, Inuit, and Métis families. It can take as many as 50 hours before the re-connection work is completed.
